I'm doing it.
One of those silly "do something unimportant for 30 days" challenges.
Well, at first it seems to start out unimportant, but then it changes to a quest, a goal - a desire that you have to make the world better?
haha, jk. I'm not trying to make the world any better.
So, I stole this from a friend of mine. (check her out, you'll love her blog)

So, here ya have it ladies and gents. The only question now is ... Is today day 1?
If so, I'm going to say that this song is a favorite for a rather unusual reason. It's not a song that just makes me want to party, or a song that makes me cry. It's not one of those songs that brings back good memories.
In the fall of 2008, I underwent a knee replacement surgery. It was tough. I was 19. After spending a week in the hospital, working hard every day doing physical therapy, trying to just be able to take a few steps without having this excruciating pain, it was time to go home. I was so ready to leave. I love hospitals, yes... but I don't think that someone should stay there longer than even they feel necessary. So, after a week, I was ready to bust out. My sweet mother came to pick me up (in my car, because it was the most comfortable... gotta love a Volvo) and take me home, where I would continue my recovery process there. The trip home was tough. My knee hurt the entire time. I was tired, I was also recovering from being on such strong pain killers. So basically, when my mother asked if it was fine if we stopped by a friend's house of her's, it took a lot of strength to think about her, and not be selfish. So I agreed to the extension of the time that I was in pain. No biggie... Really, I was already stuck here, what was another five minutes going to be?
So, we get to her house, and my mother has to run inside and get something. She leaves the car running, with the radio on, so I change it from whatever country station she had on, to the station I used to listen to all the time. 104.7 KISSFM (Don't worry, I've grown out of that phase). The song that comes on just hit me for some reason. I turned it up, drank in the beauty of the sound through my high quality stereo system, and just sat relaxed, with the sun beating down on my face. This song gave me strength, it gave me hope, it gave me motivation and energy. Just like Superman receives his strength from the sun, I was receiving strength from this song (and maybe a little from the sun).
The song was Whatever You Like, by T.I.
I know, you're probably thinking right now, Nate, you're crazy, why would that song give you energy?
I don't know.
This isn't a song that whenever it comes on, I have to turn it up and sing at the top of my voice. It isn't a song that I've had a good makeout with a girl while listening to (that'll be told on a later day). It's just a song that at that particular moment in my life, gave me hope and inspiration.
This is why it is my favorite song.
If you still don't know what song it is, here is a video for you.
Oh, and a couple months ago, I found this version of the song on a friend's blog.
Whatever You Like (I was going to post the link to her music video, but it's pretty R-Rated...)
her version might be on my top 10 list.
Thanks for playing.
See you tomorrow.
